I’ve been trialling vitamins as my one and only beauty regime, and can’t be happier with the results.
Natural skin care for inside and out: Coconut oil, Vit E, and Vit C
Following the advice from a FB article I now don’t just consume supplements, I also use them directly on my skin. Within two weeks I’ve seen a noticeable difference, quicker and better than other expensive diamond infused, age-defying, branded packaged product I’ve tried to date.
I use
- Vitamin C powder mixed with water as a facial scrub 2-3 times per week
- Vitamin E oil from a capsule on my skin before going to bed
- Organic coconut oil on my skin in the morning
Ingested vitamins are imperative for skin and general health. But applying them topically is also good for your complexion, and can make a significant difference in preventing premature ageing.
The supplements used need to be of the highest quality whole food and not a synthetic to ensure you are getting the benefits you are seeking, and not stressing your skin or body.
Vitamin C
Humans do not produce their own ascorbic acid. Therefore we must eat it each day to maintain health. It is an integral part of collagen, the cellular cement that holds our cells together and supplies the structure to our muscles, bones, and vascular system.
It is anti-ageing, antioxidant and works with vitamin A and E. It helps maintain health teeth, gums, eyes and skin among other benefits.
Vitamin E
Moisturising, soothing and protective, vitamin E is a powerful healer, so it is good for sensitive skin or sun damage, combined with vitamin C. I’ve also read that it’s great for fine lines around the eyes, scars and stretch marks.
Coconut Oil
Rich in many proteins, coconut oil can help keep skin health and rejuvenated. Proteins contribute to cellular health and tissue repair. Coconut oil is also great as a makeup remover.
Improvements I’ve noticed on my own face are the reduction of darkness under my eyes, minimised ‘character’ lines, skin tags and age spots have disappeared, and overall complexion is even, smooth and supple.
As with anything you do caution should be applied when using any product for the first time, as everyone’s body responds differently to external factors. It is recommended you test on a small patch of skin first before applying to your face, or get tested for any possible immune mismatch responses by your preferred Professional Kinesiology Practitioner.
