Does it hurt?

Kinesiology is a gentle approach, which involves touch, massage and acupressure. There are no needles involved. If you arrive with pain I will work to ease this.

What do I have to do during a typical session?

I ask you to stay involved, and stay conscious. You need to be in control of your health and provide feedback on emotions raised. Plus muscle testing may involve testing 14 or 28 muscles so sometimes there’s a lot of moving around.

What is muscle testing?

Muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on energy blockages.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on the reason you are coming to see me. Commonly each case will take 3-5 sessions. My aim is to get you better so you don’t need to come back. These sessions tend to be spread out over 12-18 months.

This is the great thing about kinesiology, as it’s very cost effective when you consider that with other modalities you often need to go multiple times per week for example a chiropractors treatment plan may be 2-3 sessions per week for 6 weeks before you can reduce frequency for another 4 weeks, etc. That’s 20-40 sessions. Where as kinesiology is typically only a handful of sessions.

What do I wear?

Please wear comfortable modest clothing that you can move in freely, and shoes that you can remove easily.

In colder weather it’s best to wear socks to keep a comfortable temperature.

Can I claim with my health fund?

Unfortunately you can no longer claim.  All  health funds removed almost all natural healing modalities from the  register in April of 2019.  Fingers crossed it will be put back on the list of claimables.   Unfortunately it’s been a pattern that happens over the years for either political or financial reasons.

Is there anything I should avoid before my session?

Yes, it’s important not to consume any alcohol, or wear any perfumes. Deodorant is ok to wear. And if you are taking any supplements, or medications please bring these with you.

How will I feel after my balance?

Every body is different, and people’s bodies respond differently. Mostly clients leave feeling clearer, taller, grounded and balanced. Sometimes they’ll feel more energised and have a spring in their step; other times (just like when you detox) clients may feel worse before they get better.

How long until a feel some benefits?

For some the effects are instant, but for me for example it can take 30 minutes, to 12 hrs to start feeling the benefits.

A big part of this is your original goal for the session. If for example you are balanced to cope with anxiety toward a presentation you have to do in a months time, you will see the benefits when you have time to reflect on how well you did after the presentation compared to what you had experienced in the past.

What happens if I′m running late to my appointment?

Out of respect for other clients, if you arrive late, your appointment will run for the remainder of your allocated time, and the original appointment fee will be charged.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

I value your commitment to make change in your life. To honour your process, and those of all my clients, and to ensure I am able to run a sustainable practice, I require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. A 100% cancellation fee is payable for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice.

You will  be sent an email  and SMS reminder 4 days prior to your scheduled appointment which will have a button you can click on to change your booking yourself.  If this option doesn’t work then please notify me via email, text or phone if you are unable to make it.
